I want to learn to lift big. I want to learn yoga. I want to run a 5k. I want to go on walks. I want to make my motivational board. I want to read. I want to sleep. I want to watch Netflix. I want to kick major ass at school and get straight A’s. I want to learn new hairstyles and makeup tricks. There’s so much I want to do and it overwhelms me to the point that I don’t do anything.

I’ve always been a procrastinator when it came to…well… everything. And amazingly enough, I always end up getting stuff done in time. It’s kinda shocking that it always works out… oh course, typically, after a huge amount of scrambling and stressing… sometimes involving all nighters. But, enough about the particulars. Here’s where I’m going with this…

I have exactly 2 months before I run the Rock ‘n Roll Marathon in St. Louis!! Yep, 60 days. I’ve been training for this race since January and all of the running and cross training workouts have gone great! My side goal for this marathon preparation was to lose some weight… 40-45lbs of it. So far, I’ve managed to shed 20 lbs in the past 7 months.

Now, it’s crunch time! I have 2 months and I want to lose another 20 lbs. I know this is gonna be a challenge so gotta stay focused!

Early morning run with my running group today. I wasn’t happy about the wake up call but happy to get in some morning miles. It was so early, it wasn’t even light out …I had to add a filter to see me in this pic. Yep, this is how I spent my Saturday morning.

Anonymous said: Hi. how long did it take you to be able to run continuosly ? Or when you started to enjoy it? Thanks. Your inspire me so much!

It took at least a month or two before I started to enjoy it. I started with intervals: 30 sec run and 2 min walk. Each week, running longer and walking less. Intervals are great! I still use intervals for long runs, nothing wrong with walk breaks. :)

Don’t let your size or wait discourage you. You can do it too!
