Literally. Recovery after my 17 mile run yesterday is going slower than usual. I’m extra sore so I resorted to pain killers and still icing all the aching muscles. All part of the process. #marathontraining #firstmarathon

I’ve always been a procrastinator when it came to…well… everything. And amazingly enough, I always end up getting stuff done in time. It’s kinda shocking that it always works out… oh course, typically, after a huge amount of scrambling and stressing… sometimes involving all nighters. But, enough about the particulars. Here’s where I’m going with this…

I have exactly 2 months before I run the Rock ‘n Roll Marathon in St. Louis!! Yep, 60 days. I’ve been training for this race since January and all of the running and cross training workouts have gone great! My side goal for this marathon preparation was to lose some weight… 40-45lbs of it. So far, I’ve managed to shed 20 lbs in the past 7 months.

Now, it’s crunch time! I have 2 months and I want to lose another 20 lbs. I know this is gonna be a challenge so gotta stay focused!
